SEND Parent Carers in Wandsworth are a voluntary group run by, and for, parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities. As parents and carers of children with SEND ourselves, we have a range of different views and experiences to draw on, which we can share with the local authority. However, the more we are able to share the collective views and experiences of families across the borough, the greater the impact there will be in shaping more relevant and responsive services for our young people. The information gathered is also invaluable in helping to shape and improve national SEND services too, via the National Network of SEND Parent Carer Forums.
