About Us

As parents and carers of children with SEND ourselves, we have a range of different views and experiences to draw on, which we can share with the local authority.   However, the more we are able to share the collective views and experiences of families across the borough, the greater the impact there will be in shaping more relevant and responsive services for our young people. The information gathered is also invaluable in helping to shape and improve national SEND services too, via the National Network of SEND Parent Carer Forums.

Our Values, Goals and Drive

WHO WE ARE

We are an independent
network of parents and
carers of children with
special needs and
disabilities in Wandsworth
borough .

Our forum is a
prerequisite for local
authorities nationwide to
ensure that they are
responsive to the needs of
the local SEND
community. We are the
only recognised, statutory
body to fulfil this role.

WHAT WE DO

We gather parent/carer
voice and aspirations, we
conduct market research
and focus groups to get
their feedback.

Parents can engage via
Facebook and email to
keep up to date with
current SEND policy
development, interesting
articles, to connect with
other parents and carers
and to obtain tips,
information and links to
other relevant
organisations.

WHAT DRIVES US

We are passionate about gathering the voices of parents and carers of  children with SEND in order to share their experiences with the local authority, so to improve services and ensure better outcomes for children young people and their families

We aim to give our
children the best possible
opportunities for health,
education, leisure, and
jobs at all stages of their
life.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Share your views with us
in whatever way you can
be that in person at a coffee
morning, responding to a survey
or attending a focus group with a
local authority representative.
The greater the range of views the
better as this helps us to understand
local issues and help
to tackle them

Let us know what help you
need for you and your
family. At the same time
receive a calendar of events
and information and tips.
